Project Overview

Locus Fermentation Solutions needed foundational SEO support for its own corporate site, which lagged behind its more product-focused subsidiaries. With multiple divisions publishing scientific and award-winning content, the challenge was aligning technical performance and SEO best practices to boost discoverability and support a unified brand presence across the biotech space.

My Role & Responsibilities

As the in-house Digital Marketing Lead, I oversaw the organic and paid strategy and content optimizations for the Locus Fermentation Solutions corporate site, while also coordinating content between several of its business units. This included optimizing site health, publishing multi-division press releases, and supporting unified brand visibility across the web.

  • Conducting a technical SEO audit and resolving crawl and indexing issues

  • Monitoring keyword performance and identifying opportunities for improvement

  • Publishing and optimizing press releases related to major scientific and business milestones

  • Collaborating with division leaders (Bioenergy, Ag, Ingredients, Mining) to align messaging

  • Ensuring consistent metadata and formatting across press content on multiple domains

The Results

What I Learned

This project reinforced the complexity and value of multi-site SEO management. Coordinating strategy across multiple divisions required precise attention to technical details and content flow. I developed systems to ensure that high-impact press releases were published in a way that served both SEO performance and brand consistency—an approach I now bring to all B2B clients working across complex, multi-entity environments.
